Queen Beatrix International AirportQueen Beatrix International Airport (IATA code AUA) is Aruba's only airport, just outside Oranjestad. In 2025 it handled about 1.65 million passengers, around three quarters of them travelling to or from North America.

The airport is close to everything: downtown Oranjestad is about 10 minutes away, Eagle Beach about 20 minutes and the Palm Beach hotels about 30 minutes by car.

US Preclearance

Travellers flying to the United States clear US immigration and customs in Aruba before departure. On arrival in the US you land as a domestic passenger and can simply walk out. The airport advises arriving three hours before a US flight.

Gateway 2030

The airport is being modernised in the Gateway 2030 project. A new US check-in hall opened in 2025, and new gates and larger waiting areas are under construction.
