Calm city beach next to the airport
Please note: this page used to be called Havana Beach, after a former beach bar on Surfside Beach.
Surfside Beach is the closest beach to Oranjestad, between the town centre and the airport. The water is calm and shallow, which makes it a good beach for families.
Plane spotters love it: aircraft fly in low over the beach when landing. You can reach Surfside Beach on foot or by bike along the Linear Park from Oranjestad.
