Beach bars, clubs and the famous party bus
Aruba is relaxed during the day, but the island comes alive at night. Most of the nightlife is concentrated along Palm Beach, with a smaller scene in downtown Oranjestad.
Palm Beach
- MooMba Beach Bar – beach bar with live music and a lively Sunday party
- Bugaloe Beach Bar & Grill – over the water on the De Palm Pier, with live bands and salsa nights
- Gusto – nightclub with DJs and dancing
- Señor Frog's – party restaurant and bar
- Craft – cocktails and live music, across from the Hilton
- Local Store – laid-back bar with a large choice of craft beers and wings
Kukoo Kunuku party bus
A colourful party bus that takes you on a bar hop around the island, often combined with dinner. A fun way to go out without having to worry about driving.
Oranjestad and casinos
In Oranjestad the Renaissance Marketplace on the waterfront has bars and restaurants with live music. Several resorts on Palm Beach and in Oranjestad have casinos that are open late.
Tips
- The legal drinking age in Aruba is 18.
- Do not drink and drive: take a taxi, which charges fixed fares.
- Carlos'n Charlie's closed many years ago; you may still find it mentioned in old guides.
