Aruba's annual sailing event at Surfside Beach


The Aruba International Regatta is the island's main sailing competition. Every year sailors from Aruba, Curaçao, Bonaire and other countries race on the calm waters off Surfside Beach, near Oranjestad.

The regatta

The racing is open to a wide range of boats and boards. Classes include Optimist, Sunfish, Laser, beach catamarans, yacht racing and cruising, multihulls, and in recent editions also kite, windsurf and wing foil. On shore, the regatta village offers music, food and activities for spectators.

Regatta 2026

The 16th Aruba International Regatta took place from 10 to 12 July 2026 at Surfside Beach. Dates, registration and results for upcoming editions can be found on the official website aruba-regatta.org.

What about the Rembrandt Regatta?

The Aruba Rembrandt Regatta, first held in 2009 at Eagle Beach, is no longer organised. Sailing fans can now head to the Aruba International Regatta instead.
