Jewellery and watches are among the most popular purchases in Aruba. The main jewellers are located in Oranjestad near the cruise terminal and in the shopping centres of Palm Beach.
Well-known jewellers
- Gandelman: family business since 1969 and official Rolex dealer, on L.G. Smith Boulevard in Oranjestad.
- Little Switzerland: watches and jewellery from brands such as TAG Heuer, Omega and Tiffany & Co., with stores at Royal Plaza Mall and in Palm Beach.
- Diamonds International: jewellery boutiques in Oranjestad and Palm Beach.
Tips
- Compare prices with those at home before you buy.
- Keep your receipts: you may have to declare purchases at customs on your return.
- A sales tax of about 7 per cent applies in regular shops.
