I have the international plan on my cell phone (because we travel to Canada a lot), but if I didn't then I would rent one. I can't believe the prices the cell phone providers charge for international roaming! :eek:
Does anyone know if you pick up a calling card once there, and need to say, call back home for one reason or another if its cheaper than using a cell or would it matter since its still long distance vs. roaming charges?
Check out the international cell phone roaming rates - $1.50 to $3.75 a minute. Holy cow! Sounds like renting a phone or buying a calling card is definitely the way to go.
Wow! Kat thanks for that link! That helps quite a bit. There are so many questions I have about our trip that I can't always think of them all at once. And once I have a question answered, I think of 20 more-LOL!
