What you need before you fly to Aruba

Entry Requirements for ArubaVisiting Aruba is straightforward for most travellers, but there are a few things you must arrange before you fly. The most important is the online ED card, which every visitor has to complete.

ED card

The Embarkation and Disembarkation (ED) card is mandatory for all visitors, including children. You fill it in online on the official website within seven days before your arrival.

Sustainability Fee

Visitors arriving by air pay a Sustainability Fee of US$20 per person aged 8 and over. The fee was introduced in July 2024 and has been mandatory since December 2024. The fee is paid once per calendar year when you complete the ED card. Cruise passengers and residents are exempt.

Passport and visa

You need a valid passport. Citizens of the United States, Canada and the European Union do not need a visa for a tourist visit. Visitors are normally admitted for 30 days; extensions are possible under certain conditions. Check the official rules for your nationality before you travel.

Want to live or work in Aruba? Residence and work permits are handled by DIMAS. See moving to Aruba.
