I am comfortable wearing sneakers everywhere I go. If I travel to Aruba, do I have to remove my shoes before I enter the walk-through metal detector? Thanks.

Everyone has to take off its shoes when you walk trough the metal detector x-ray machine. However, only those who are disabled and with a prosthetic device can be exempted to this security measure. When are you going to travel to Aruba?

I think this is to ensure safety for all the travelers. In fact, there are reported incidents wherein passengers have an explosive device inside their shoe. Right?

That's right. We can never tell what's in mind of those terrorist. If you don't like to waste your time in taking off your shoes, you may travel with flip flops. It is easy to transport and in most cases, inexpensive. Right?
