Aruba is thought to be one of the world's greatest destinations for people looking to get away from it all. If you have not had the pleasure of seeing this place for yourself, a very quick online search will show you just why it is indeed so popular. But it is not only the scenery on the island that will keep you coming back for more, is the fact that there are loads of activities on Aruba to make sure that you have a great time while you are there.

Aruba presents itself as a great destination no matter what sort of holiday you would like to have and this is mainly due to the significant choice that one has in terms of the things that you can do while you visit. If this is going to be the island that you visit as a newly wed or if you and your partner seek some romance, then you are in the right place. Long beaches mean long walks hand in hand with the chance to take in a great sunset. Ensure that you have a cocktail as well to really make the most of these great experiences.

Even if you are visiting with family and friends, Aruba will offer you a great holiday experience. There is a lot of sea life and beautiful coral reefs to complement the amazing scenery that you find on the island. So it is highly recommended that you take in a scuba diving trip while you are there. You are able to do this if it is only your first time or if you have done this a hundred times because there are a variety of diving services. Independent instructors could provide an alternative to the hotels if you seek some individual tuition.

For those who are fishing enthusiasts, you will be pleased to hear that you can charter a fishing boat. On board with the local fisherman you can learn all about the best spots to fish in and perhaps even be lucky enough to reel in a record-breaking marlin. You never know.

The local towns and market places of Aruba offer some insight into what the daily life is like on the island. You are probably going to find that these places are not as commercial as tourist centers and this is great because it is more authentic and you can learn about the island culture.

The island has a fascinating Creole culture and there are very telling aspects that make this apparent. It is clear in their clothing, their amazing cooking and then also in the language itself. The dialects of Creole that are spoken around the island are made up of English, French, various African languages and a peppering of others that give one some idea of the nations that have been involved in Aruba's history. You can gain additional insight into the history by going to visit one of a few museums on the island.

The food on the island is so incredible that it wouldn't be surprising if this was to be of more interest to you than perhaps the history. It is recommended that you visit a local pub or restaurant as this way you will get the most authentic food. The warm and welcoming environments of these places are legendary and some people never end up leaving.

After a long day of sight seeing, swimming and eating, don't think that you are going to have a quiet night. The evenings are filled with the magic of dancers, big bonfires and parties on the beach that last all the way to sunrise the next morning. These and other activities on Aruba are going to change your life forever.

Just a day at the office...

If one plans to stay in Aruba permanently, would they have difficulty in adjusting with the islands culture? Aruba seems to be a great place to reside. What is your opinion about this?

That sounds great! I never thought they would also have some great night life experience there. I just always thought of them to have baches and good resorts and those kinds of things. You know. :P
