Planning first trip to Aruba!

We are in the process of planning our first trip to Aruba. We are looking at going sometime next summer. I figured that should give us more than enough time to plan out everything that we would like to do, and research all of our options. How long did it take for you to plan any of your trips to Aruba? Do you think a year may be to much/not enough time to plan for it?

I one year we can plan our trip 2 or 3 times.
Just kidding. Basically we plan our trip 3 to 4 months ahead.
But we do not arrange excursions etc.
The only thing we plan is the hotel/apartment, and the flight.
A few weeks before we go we contact the rental company for scuba diving gear and we make a reservation at our favorite restaurant. (Just in case)…
But we never stay in the resorts, I do not know if you have to plan these kind of arrangements earlier.

We start to plan our trips in advance. Usually at least 3 or 4 months...but usually way earlier than that. You want to make sure you can get the best rate at whichever hotel you choose, and do your research! It all takes time.
