What are some authentic Aruban desserts that are common or specific Aruba. Are they easily accessible or popular in the high rise regions or would tourists have to venture outside of this area to enjoy them?
Traditional Aruban cakes would have nuts - pistachios, cashews, etc. You can find them at the high rise hotels, but they are probably adjusted to suit American tastes. I would venture into Oranjestad and try to find a bakery off the beaten path if you want the real deal.
