These events include the Youth Carnival Queen Election, Grand Final Tumba Contest, Children's Carnival Parade in San Nicolas and the infamous month-long party, the Carnival Celebration. The latter is considered as the biggest party in the annual events held in Aruba where street parties, parades and very creative contests happen.

During Februarys, Mrs. Carnival Election, Carnival Showdown Window to the World, Children's Carnival Parade in the Noord and many other events take place. In the month of March, 2 major events happen yearly. International competitors join in Aruba's longest road race from San Nicolas to Oranjestad. This event that happens every 14th of March is called as the Aruba International Half Marathon (21 K). Other than this, the National anthem and Flag day is celebrated on the 18th of the same month. It also features a lot of games and sporting events for children and adults.

An enchanting yet classical Aruba Piano Festival is celebrated every year on the 17th-24th of the month of April. Other than that, the Queen's birthday is also celebrated every April 30 in honor to Queen Beatrix followed by several sporting events like kite flying contests and the International Boulevard Race. This running race draws more than 200 competitors from Aruba, Colombia, Holland, Netherlands, the USA, and Venezuela. Famous chefs showcase their talents and feature their mouth-watering specialties that also include a wine tasting event. Aruba's International Triathlon, Dera Gai or St. John's Day and the Aruba Hi-Winds are also celebrated every year. The latter has been considered as the largest amateur windsurfing event that happens from June 30-July 5 every year in the Caribbean. It is when windsurfing and kite boarding competitions happen among both sexes. Then, from the 3rd and 4th of July, the Annual Aruba Reef Care project is always practiced by its people to keep their marine environment clean.

Every 26th-30th of August, the Aruba International pro-Am Golf Tournament is held where teams consisting of a professional golfer together with his or her four amateur golfers compete in the 36-hole event. Every September, an open road race called Turibana to Santa Cruz happens annually. I was there last year for the food and wine festival. It coincides with my birthday and there was no better way to celebrate. I like the chance to try lots of different foods in a fun atmosphere.
