Wondering what the best mode(s) of transportation are while vacationing in Aruba. Should we rent a car or is there mass transit? Or is it best to simply walk and take cabs? Thanks for the info.

renting a scooter is probably the most cost effective (and fun)

Mass transit is probably best so you can really get a feel for the local population. I suggest walking, but only short distances with large crowds of people, as a way to a more authentic experience.

If it's a walking distance, then you don't need to rent a car. I would suggest you try to ride a bus. They say that Aruba had a very nicest bus driver, you may ask assistance from them when you want to go around the island. What do you think?

buses are good, but they don't run late at night so you need to remember you might not have a ride home other than a cab
