Panoramic views from the north-western tip
The California Lighthouse stands on the north-western tip of Aruba, on a hill above the dunes and Arashi Beach. It is named after the steamship California, which wrecked off this coast in 1891.
For a small fee you can climb the tower for panoramic views over the island and the sea. The grounds are a popular place to watch the sunset, and the Italian restaurant Faro Blanco is right next to the lighthouse.
